About me

As a Software Engineer at Bestow, I applied my BS in Computer Science and my skills in Python, Golang, Java, and Postgres to develop and maintain scalable and secure web applications for the InsurTech industry. I worked with a cross-functional team of Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers to deliver innovative solutions that improved the customer experience and enhanced the company's mission of making life insurance accessible and affordable for everyone. Prior to joining Bestow, I was a Software Engineer at American Express, where I contributed to develop various features and functionalities for the Digital Payments Platform. I am passionate about solving complex problems and learning new technologies, and I value collaboration, creativity, and quality in my work. I have a preference for working in Austin, Texas but I am open to relocation.

Implemented and maintained a rules engine in Python that enables faster decisions on customer product eligibility. Expanded monitoring infrastructure across multiple development environments. Configured Microservices in Golang from scratch with gRPC endpoints, and established new Pricing services in Python that expanded eligibility to over 100k customers. Integrated Kubernetes clusters to the development environment enabling efficient resource usage consumption, consistent productivity, and production-ready contributions.
